Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar today ordered a CID inquiry into the self-immolation of three junior seers of Chowli Math in Bidar District of Karnataka.
The three seers had allegedly jumped into a pyre set up by them early this month and committed suicide in their quest to reach to their guru who died under suspicious circumstances in February this year.
They jumped into the huge pyre of firewood collected for a festival in the Math.
In their suicide note, the seers stated that they took the extreme step to reach their guru and they belonged to 'Kailash'. No one was responsible for their act, they explained.
The inquiry will also be held into the happenings in the Mutt since last three months and seers committing suicide, Mr Shettar added.
